PDQ has pulled its plans to come to Cinnaminson while IHOP is weighing its options for a location in the township, according to Anthony Minniti.

Many questions have surrounded the status of PDQ, which is a direct competitor of Chick-fil-a, in regards to whether or not the company was coming to Cinnaminson.

The application for PDQ was approved by township committee and plans were submitted.

The new location was supposed to go at the corner of Route 130 South and Cinnaminson Avenue in the Shoppes at Cinnaminson along with Chipotle.

Minniti spoke with the developer Thursday morning about PDQ and IHOP.

According to Brixmor, PDQ has pulled out of the deal.

“Apparently, they are not achieving the success with their new stores in the area,” Minniti said. “The rollout of the stores is not going as strongly as they had hoped. They don’t want to put more competition for their other stores in the area.”

“With that being said, it’s still possible that PDQ explores the idea of coming to Cinnaminson in the future, but right now they are not going into the Shoppes as they are cutting back on expansion.”

IHOP is still attempting to go into the Shoppes, possibly at the space where PDQ was going to occupy near Chipotle.

The original location for IHOP was near the old Sleepy’s, where Saladworks will go, towards the front of the Shoppes.

“IHOP is trying to figure out how they can move to where Chipotle is being built at the front corner,” Minniti said.
