NJ American Water will be replacing lines in Cinnaminson through the month of December due to the age of the current lines.
The mailer in the picture above arrived in my mailbox today, a little late since the anticipated start date of the project was on November 14.
But, aside from the late notice, New Jersey American Water will be spending $375,000 in Cinnaminson.
The project includes Jefferson Street from Route 130 to Division Street and Webster Street from Jefferson Street to Adams Street.
The lines being replaced are from the 1960’s. The old lines were 6-inch pipe. The new lines will be 8-inch pipe.
Approximately 2,000 feet of water lines will be replaced in this work zone.
Construction is expected to last through the end of December.
NJ American Water said the replacement of the water lines will “improve water service reliability and increase water flows for household use and firefighting.”
Restoration of the streets will be completed in the spring by Cinnaminson Township.
Work is being conducted by NJ American Water contractor South State.
Any questions about the project can be directed to New Jersey American Water via phone at 1-800-272-1325 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
