#5 Pirates 10-5-2

After a sluggish 3-4 start to the season the Pirates are on a roll offensively.

Cinnaminson has won three in a row coming into today’s contest, outscoring opponents 16-4 during that span.

Not only has the offense exploded, but the defense has limited opponents to two goals 10 times this season.

In their 17 games played this season, the defense has allowed an opponent to score more than two goals in a game just twice.

Maura Tumelty leads the team in scoring with 12 goals. She is followed by Serafina Kennedy (10) and Marissa Porrini (5).

Goalie Lauren Friedrich has five shutots this season.

#4 Wildcats 10-5-1

Maple Shade is limping into this second round matchup with Cinnaminson.

The Wildcats opened the season 6-0, but have gone 4-5-1 since.

They took down Moorestown Friends 2-0 yesterday in a tuneup prior to this game.

That win snapped a two-game losing streak to Pemberton and Holy Cross.

Maple Shade has recorded six shutouts this season behind the stellar play of Dana Sheply in the cage.

Makayla Muse leads the team in goals with 12. Allison Bimmer follows with six and Melissa Donaldson has four.

Head to Head

This will be the third meeting between Cinnaminson and Maple Shade as the two are Patriot rivals.

The Pirates finished the regular season in second place in the Patriot, while the Wildcats finished third.

Maple Shade won the first meeting 1-0 on their turf. Cinnaminson and Maple Shade played to a 1-1 draw in the second meeting in Cinnaminson.
