Pirates 9-0-1, 6-0 Liberty

Cinnaminson comes into today’s Liberty Division contest having won nine games in a row after opening the season with a 0-0 tie against Williamstown.

The Pirates have allowed just two goals this season, one each to Moorestown and Delran.

In their 10 games played, the Pirates have recorded eight shutouts behind the stellar play of keeper Maddie Ogden and the back line of Julianna Bastos, Lauren Wahl, Christine Bescript, Kellyn Weist and Kayla Decker.

The Pirates six wins in the division have come against every team.

Today begins the second time through the division schedule for the Pirates.

The last time on the pitch saw the Pirates defeat Bordentown by a 5-0 score.

Goals came from Justyne Gutowski (two), Kelly Kane, Emma Karch and Jaimie McHugh.

Ogden had to make just three saves for the victory.

Hailey Gutowski and Karch are tied for the team lead in goals with six apiece.

Justyne Gutowski is right behind them with five goals. Kane and Miranda Sackner each have four goals on the year.

Quakers 7-1-1, 5-1 Liberty

Moorestown comes into today’s showdown with a record of 7-1-1. The Quakers are 5-1 in the Liberty.

The only team Moorestown has yet to play in the division is Holy Cross.

The Quakers swept the season series against Burlington Township with wins of 5-2 and 3-0.

The Quakers lone tie of the season came against Clearview 2-2.

Moorestown’s defense is just as strong as Cinnaminson’s, pitching five shutouts this year and four straight.

During their five game unbeaten streak, which started after the 3-1 loss to Cinnaminson, the Quakers have outscored their opponents 14-2.

The two goals came in the tie with Clearview.

The three goals the Quakers gave up against the Pirates were the most they allowed in a single game this season.

Head to Head

Cinnaminson took down Moorestown 3-1 in the second week of the season.

The win marked the first for the Pirates against the Quakers since 2011. During that span there was one tie.

These two teams stand atop the Liberty Division standings with Cinnaminson in first and Moorestown one game out in second place.

The next closest team is Holy cross at 4-2.
