Cinn City Sports will have coverage of two games today, the first of those featuring boy’s tennis vs Holy Cross as the Pirates go for the Freedom Division title today.

When: Thursday, May 19 at 3:45pm.

Where: Wood Park in Cinnaminson.

Cinnaminson: 14-3, 8-0

Holy Cross: 13-5, 8-1

Cinnaminson comes into this match following a 4-1 loss to West Deptford in the second round of the South, Group 2 Tournament on Wednesday.

The loss to the Eagles snapped a 14-match win streak for the Pirates that began with their third match of the season.

Cinnaminson comes in with a record of 14-3 overall and 8-0 in the Freedom Division.

The Pirates can win the Freedom Division title outright with a victory over the Lancers today. A loss would give them a share of the crown.

Cinnaminson would still win the title outright with a win even if the Pirates do not make up their final Freedom match of the year against Trenton Catholic because Holy Cross would have two losses in the division.

The Pirates have already defeated Holy Cross once this season, by a 4-1 score on May 12. Not much time has passed between that first match and today’s, which makes this match even more exciting.

Both teams will have clear memories of what occurred in the first match, making today’s even tougher than the first.

Holy Cross comes into today at 13-5 overall and 8-1 in the Freedom.

This is the last match of the season for Holy Cross in the Freedom Division. A win would give them a share of the division crown with Cinnaminson.

The Lancers have also been eliminated from the playoffs, dropping a 5-0 match to Ranney in the first round of the South Jersey Non Public B Tournament this week.

Both of these teams have lost to Moorestown this season, but Holy Cross did so by a 4-1 score, while Cinnaminson fell by a 5-0 score.

When it comes to other common opponents outside of division play, the Pirates took down Delran 3-2, while Holy Cross dropped a 5-0 match to the Bears.

Both teams also played Northern Burlington and Burlington Township this season and each came away with wins. Cinnaminson took down NBC and Township once each, while Holy Cross picked up two wins against each team.
