#5: Cinnaminson (1) at Point Pleasant Boro (2) OT – 11/9

In the third round of the South, Group 2 playoffs the Pirates traveled to take on Point Pleasant Boro. Cinnaminson fell by a 2-1 score in overtime against the Panthers, who would eventually go on to win the South, Group 2 title and finish with a 19-3-1 overall record after falling in the first round of the Group 2 State Tournament. Anna Saginario scored the lone goal for the Pirates in the loss.

#4: Moorestown (3) at Cinnaminson (2) – 9/17

In what would be their first loss of the season, the Pirates dropped a hard-fought contest to the Quakers on September 17. After trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Pirates rallied to tie the game at two before falling by a 3-2 final. Jamie McHugh and Miranda Sackner scored for the Pirates in the second half before Moorestown answered with the eventual game winner at 5:31.

#3: Cinnaminson (0) at Holy Cross (0) 2OT – 9/29

After defeating Holy Cross 3-2 on Saturday at home, the Pirates traveled to take on the Lancers in the finale of a home-and-home with their neighboring rivals. Both teams had plenty of chances to win, with Sackner coming close in overtime with a shot off the post, but 100 minutes of stellar soccer could not determine a winner in this one, ending in a scoreless draw.

#2: Middle Township (1) at Cinnaminson (3) – 11/5

In the second round of the South, Group 2 playoffs the Pirates played host to Middle Township after taking down Pemberton 7-0 in the opening round. Cinnaminson built a 3-0 lead before Middle Township could score a goal on the strength of two goals from Alex Kane and one from Sackner that came just 44 seconds into the contest. The Panthers had recorded 14 shutouts prior to meeting Cinnaminson in the playoffs and had a record of 15-2-1 coming into the game.

#1: Holy Cross (2) at Cinnaminson (3) – 9/26

In their first of three meetings with Holy Cross this season (1-1-1), the Pirates stunned the Lancers with a 3-2 victory at home to win their third straight early in the year. Alex Keck scored two goals and Hailey Gutowski added the third. The Pirates allowed the Lancers to tie the game at two late in the second half, but Keck’s second goal with roughly three minutes remaining sealed the deal for Cinnaminson.
