Cinnaminson came into Thursday’s game fresh off a 10-2 romp of Pemberton in extra innings, but could not sustain the momentum in a 21-1 loss to Rancocas Valley on Thursday.

The Pirates fall to 2-7 on the season, while the Red Devils are now 4-0.

Rancocas Valley scored 12 runs in the first inning on nine hits and two Pirate errors. After three innings the Red Devils led 16-0 and the Pirates had managed just two baserunners, both via walks.

The Pirates managed to push a run across in their final at-bat of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning on an error, groundout and sacrifice fly.

Cinnaminson was no-hit for the second time this season in the 21-1 loss to Rancocas Valley. The other no-hit game came in a 10-0 loss to Patriot rival Bordentown.

Rebecca Martino got the start in the circle for the Pirates, but could not escape the first inning. Chelsea Price came in to get the final out, but surrendered three hits, including a home run prior to doing so. Price also pitched the top of the second for the Pirates.

Maddison Godwin was the third Pirates pitcher to hit the circle today. She pitched the final three innings of the game for Cinnaminson.

The Pirates return to the field Friday, April 15 with a game vs Westampton at 3:45pm. Cinnaminson is home again on Monday against Maple Shade.
