The Senior Spotlight on Tuesday afternoon features boy’s lacrosse player Anthony Rosica, who is headed to George Mason University in the fall.
Here is our conversation:
Major: Criminology or Criminal Justice
Cinn City Sports: How long have you been playing lacrosse?
Rosica: I started in 6th grade when the program came to Cinnaminson.
CCS: Who got you interested in lacrosse?
Rosica: I would say my mom because I grew up never getting into baseball and I played a sport every other season so when spring came around I was bored. One day my mom told me about the team starting up and knew I should take advantage of the opportunity.
CCS: Will you be playing any sports in college?
Rosica: I am going to go out for club lacrosse and ultimate frisbee.
Favorite Movie: Fight Club
Favorite song and/or artist: Anything by Five Finger Death Punch
Favorite class at CHS: Computing for college with Mr. Masi.
CCS: What do you like most about the sport of lacrosse?
Rosica: I like the fast pace, quick scoring attitude of the game.
CCS: What part of your game has improved the most since playing varsity lacrosse?
Rosica: I went in not knowing how to really run a defense but as the season went on I quickly learned the adjacent slides and movements that a fluid defense has.
CCS: What does it mean to you to be part of an expanding program at CHS?
Rosica: It means a lot knowing that in 20 years I’ll be able to look at the team and say that I was on the varsity lacrosse team the first year it started at Cinnaminson.
CCS: What do you like to do in your free time?
Rosica: Hang out with friends and play soccer or basketball or frisbee at Wood park.
CCS: What is your favorite post-game meal?
Rosica: Definitely a cheesesteak with peppers and onions from Yellow Submarine.
