The second round of the SJSCA Tournament will be played today as girl’s soccer hosts Haddonfield at 2pm. Here is our Gameday Focus.

When: Monday, October 24 at 2pm

Where: Cinnaminson High School

Pirates 14-1-1

Cinnaminson enters today’s second round game with a 14-1-1 record after taking down Deptford 3-0 in the opening round of the SJSCA.

The Pirates are the #4 seed. The victory was the team’s 11th shutout of the season.

There were three different goal scorers for Cinnaminson against Deptford; Fiona Flynn, Hailey Gutowski and Emma Karch.

The Pirates have won four in a row, three via shutout, since a 3-2 loss to Rancocas Valley on October 13.

One of those victories was a 3-0 triumph over division rival Delran that clinched an outright title in the Liberty for the Pirates.

The Pirates season high in goals scored was six in a 6-0 win over Pemberton.

Bulldogs 19-0

The Bulldogs come into this SJSCA matchup with a 19-0 mark.

Haddonfield’s defense has been just as solid as Cinnaminson’s with 10 shutouts in 2016.

Their 10th shutout came in the first round of the SJSCA 1-0 over Mainland. The Bulldogs are the #5 seed.

The Bulldogs allowed a season high three goals in a 7-3 win over Sterling back on October 13.

Coincidentally, that was the season high allowed by the Pirates, which came in their lone loss of the year on the same day.

The seven goals scored in the win over Sterling is the season high for the Bulldogs.

Head to Head

These two programs last met in 2012, with the Pirates picking up a 1-0 win.
