When: Thursday, September 15 at 6:30pm

Where: Moorestown High School

Pirates 1-0-1

Cinnaminson is off to a strong start in girl’s soccer after an opening weekend tournament in Williamstown.

The Pirates tied the hosts 0-0 and took down Kingsway 2-0.

The two unbeaten games marked back-to-back shutouts for sophomore keeper Maddie Ogden.

The two goals were scored by Hailey Gutowski and Justyne Gutowski.

Quakers 3-0, 1-0

Moorestown also took part in the season opening tournament hosted by Williamstown last weekend.

The Quakers took down Kingsway 3-0 and then the hosts 2-1.

Their third win, and first in the Liberty Division, came on Tuesday against Burlington Township by a 5-2 score.

Head to Head

The Pirates were swept by Moorestown in the season series last year by identical 3-2 scores.

The Pirates have not beaten the Quakers since the second game of the season series in 2011, 2-0.

Since that win, the Quakers have won seven of eight between the two schools.

Cinnaminson and Moorestown played to a 0-0 tie in 2014.
