The second game we are covering today features girl’s lacrosse vs Delran at 6:30pm in the football stadium. It is senior night for the program.

When: Friday, April 29 at 6:30pm

Where: Cinnaminson’s George D. Paternoster Field

Cinnaminson: 7-4, 5-4

Delran: 7-4, 4-4

The Pirates come into today’s BCSL contest with an overall record of 7-4 and a 5-4 mark against BCSL teams. Cinnaminson is coming off a 12-6 win over New Egypt on Wednesday.

Julia Averill led the way with four goals. Three players scored twice and two players scored once in the victory, the second of the season over New Egypt.

Girl’s lacrosse has suffered all four of its losses this year against BCSL teams. They have dropped games to Rancocas Valley, Northern Burlington and two to Holy Cross.

Cinnaminson enjoyed a four-game win streak after their season-opening loss to Holy Cross, but has not been able to string together two wins in a row since then.

The Pirates have gone 3-3 over their last six games played, swapping wins and losses every game.

Cinnaminson and Delran met earlier this season with the Pirates picking up a 12-10 victory. It was the fourth game of their four-game win streak.

Lexi Colella led the way for the Pirates with five goals. Averill netted three and four other players scored one goal apiece.

Brianna Hatzold scored five times for Delran, Arianna Quinlan netted three and two other players scored one each in the loss to the Pirates.

Delran enters this contest with a 7-4 overall mark and a 4-4 mark against BCSL teams. Delran is riding a five-game win streak coming into tonight’s game.

During their win streak, the Bears have scored in double digits all five times and allowed double digits in goals just once in a 19-14 win over New Egypt.

Overall, Delran has scored double digits in goals in all but two games so far this season.

Just like the Pirates, all four of the Bears losses this season have come against BCSL opponents. They include Rancocas Valley, Northern Burlington, Holy Cross and Cinnaminson.

The Pirates are going for their fourth straight win over the Bears tonight. Cinnaminson’s last loss to Delran came in 2014 when the Bears swept the season series with wins of 9-5 and 17-12.
