The third game of four being covered by Cinn City Sports today features senior night at boy’s volleyball vs Woodrow Wilson. This is our third Gameday Focus of the day so let’s take an in-depth look at this contest.
When: Monday, May 9 at 5pm.
Where: Cinnaminson Middle School.
Cinnaminson: 13-10, 4-3 Olympic-National
Woodrow Wilson: 2-10, 2-5 Olympic-National
Boy’s volleyball will look to snap a four-match losing streak when the team takes the court at Cinnaminson Middle School this evening against Woodrow Wilson for senior night.
The Pirates have lost four straight matches to some of the best teams in the area and the state.
Those losses have come against Sterling, West Windsor-Plainsboro South, Kingsway and Pennsauken Tech.
With a 4-3 mark in the Olympic-National and three matches remaining against division opponents, the Pirates are still in the thick of the title race.
Cinnaminson will need to win all three of those matches (Woodrow Wilson, Camden and Camden Academy Charter) and get some help from their division opponents playing against Collingswood and Pennsauken Tech.
The good thing here is that the Pirates are already 3-0 versus the teams they still have on the schedule.
The Pirates were scheduled to play a match on Friday against Burlington City, but it was canceled due to a lack of players for the Blue Devils. No makeup date has been announced.
Cinnaminson also has one final leg of the Backyard Brawl to play against Pennsauken and Moorestown at Pennsauken on May 18. That tri-match will conclude the regular season for the Pirates.
Woodrow Wilson comes into this match with an overall record of 2-10 and a division mark of 2-5. Their two wins have come against Camden and Camden Academy Charter.
Woodrow Wilson has lost four matches in a row as well. All but three of their losses this year have come by 2-0 scores, including a 2-0 loss to Cinnaminson back on April 6.
The Pirates have won every match against Woodrow Wilson by a 2-0 score going back to at least 2009.
