Where: Cinnaminson’s George D. Paternoster Memorial Field

Cinnaminson: 1-7, 0-5

It has been a rough year for the Pirates, who just picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night over Williamstown by a 4-3 score. Tyler Simcoe, Ryan Devone, JT Holt and Mike O’Brien scored for the Pirates.

It was senior night and was the second year in a row that the program defeated Williamstown on senior night after not winning any previous senior night game.

Prior to Tuesday’s win over Williamstown the Pirates had not held an opponent to less than seven goals scored in any game this year.

In fact, the Pirates have held opponents to less than double digits in goals just three times this year and two of them came against Williamstown. The other was against Northern Burlington (8-3 loss).

Cinnaminson has been shutout once this season, 15-0 against Delran, and has been held to one goal once, 15-1 against Lower Cape May in the opener.

Holy Cross comes into this game riding a three-game win streak. Their most recent win came against Northern Burlington by a 9-7 score on Monday.

The Lancers two losses have come against Bishop Eustace and Delran. Holy Cross has picked up impressive wins against Moorestown Friends, Rancocas Valley and New Egypt.

Holy Cross has recorded one shutout this year, 17-0 over Hamilton West and have scored double digit goals in six of 10 games played so far this year.

The Lancers are 4-1 in the BCSL, sitting just one game ahead of New Egypt for first place. They also own the best overall record among teams in the BCSL.

Cinnaminson and Holy Cross met earlier this season and the Lancers came away with a 16-3 win over the Pirates. Cinnaminson picked up goals from Ryan Bleistine, Mason McLaverty and Cole Wojkowski.
