A free shredding event for Burlington County residents will be held this Sunday, October 23 from 9a-1pm in Florence.

This is perfect for Cinnaminson residents who missed the shredding event hosted by the Cinnaminson Police Department at Cinnaminson Day on Sunday.

The event is being held by the Burlington County Freeholders and is open only to residents of Burlington County.

According to the release, you will not be able to bring any e-waste to the event. This includes TVs and computers. The county hosts other events throughout the year where you can bring e-waste to be recycled.

The event will be held rain or shine at the Burlington County Resource Recovery (Landfill) Complex at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence.

The complex can be accessed using exit 52A off 295 North.

ID is required in order to have your documents shredded. Business and non-profit organizations are not permitted.

The release from the county said, “Staff will unload the cars for on-site shredding. Bring only “confidential” documents, such as bank and credit card statements, tax returns, and papers with account numbers. No binders, plastic folders, computer disks or credit cards. Up to four bags or boxes per car will be accepted.  Already-shredded paper can also be recycled at this event.”
