Some breaking news today as Mayor Anthony Minniti announced that Starbucks will be coming to Cinnaminson. Here are the details.
Whether you like their coffee or not, Starbucks will soon call Cinnaminson home.
A Starbucks will join the plaza at Route 130 South and Wynwood Drive, where Pearle Vision is and Paula’s Diner used to be.
“All the economic development activity we’re seeing this year is the culmination of months of “behind the scenes” hard work,” Minniti said.
The company has signed a letter of intent with the township and their lease is pending final corporate approval.
A conceptual site plan will be presented to the committee at the February 6 meeting and will be followed by submission to the planning committee in the weeks to come.
“The reason we are enjoying such success is due to the reputation we’ve cultivated in the business community,” Minniti said. “The addition of Mayor Mike Minton to an already strong team has proven invaluable. Recently, it seems like too many are quick to dismiss the value of experience in good government. What we’re seeing this year, in Cinnaminson, is that experience matters. Experience has been the difference between success and failure in almost all of our projects this year. We have an outstanding, seasoned team and that gives us the advantage over neighboring communities, when we’re fighting to attract many of the same businesses.”
The plans call for a drive through as the property will be redesigned. Pearle Vision will be staying in the complex, but will see a redesign too.
Pearle Vision will move to the vacant Paula’s Diner during renovations and Starbucks will occupy the current Pearle Vision spot in order to allow for proper space for the drive through.
“We’ve been working to bring Starbucks to Cinnaminson for quite some time now,” Minniti said. “The complex will get a complete upgrade, including a drive through for Starbucks. They liked the location at 130 and Wynwood, especially with it being so close to Merion Caterers.”
The mayor also mentioned plans to bring a bakery to Cinnaminson, but could not comment further as the plans are still in their infancy.
