Today is the eighth installment of our new feature, which takes a look back at the top games/wins/matches/meets for each of the nine varsity programs at Cinnaminson High School from the spring sports season. We will take a look at the top 3 boy’s track and field meets of 2015 in this post, working backwards from number three to number one. The Pirates went 5-0 this season to win the Patriot Division title.

3. Pirates Defeat Delran 107-24 on April 28

In their third dual meet of the season, the Pirates took down Delran in dominating fashion, 107-24. It was their third dual meet win of the season to move to 3-0. The Pirates won all of the events against the Bears, including one event that was not contested, the high jump. The win would be the third of five for the Pirates in their five meets in 2015 as they began to prepare for an impressive championship season.

2. Pirates Take Down Holy Cross 111-28 on May 12

The fifth and final dual meet of the season saw boy’s track and field host Holy Cross on May 12. In what used to be a tight competition in years’ past, the Pirates steamrolled the Lancers 111-28 this season. The victory completed an undefeated regular season for the Pirates and secured the Patriot Division league title. The Pirates won almost every event, except for the 3,200, the discus and the javelin.

1. Pirates Win Small School Title at BC Open on May 16

On May 16, the Pirates took part in the BC Open, which was hosted by Maple Shade High School. Cinnaminson finished in second place overall and took home the first-ever small school title at the event. They finished behind Rancocas Valley, which won the overall titleĀ at the meet. The performance by boy’s track and field at the BC Open helped prepare them for sectionals, states and the Meet of Champions, which saw the Pirates compete at all three.

We complete this new feature for the 2015 spring season on Monday when we take a look at the top 5 wins for baseball.
