The third annual Cinnaminson Trunk or Treat event is scheduled for October 22 from 6-8pm at Wood Park.
Registration is open and for the first time will be conducted entirely online this year.
The fee to take part is $5 until October 17. The fee goes up to $7.50 until October 21 at 7pm, which is the absolute latest anyone can register for the event.
The registration fee goes towards the DJ (The Rickus Family), prizes, decorations, non-food treats and candy needed to re-supply the vehicles taking part in the event.

Event organizer Christine Turner said registration was moved online so that volunteers do not have to worry about handling cash.
Turner has been running the Cinnaminson Trunk or Treat since its inception.
“We thought about it for several years,” Turner said. “It just never came to fruition. The end of August, beginning of September three years ago we put it on Facebook and it just took off from there.”
Kids will be able to trick-or-treat at Wood Park at vehicles that have been decorated for the event.
“Some are extravagant. The kids really enjoy going from car to car seeing the different designs and ideas. Some families come entirely dressed up with multiple cars. The themes really are incredible.”
Vehicles that are handing out non-food treats will be labeled with a teal sign for kids who might have food allergies.

“We have one car every year that comes back and does crafts with the kids,” Turner said. “They actually make crafts at the car, which is really awesome. Some give out toys or other prizes so they don’t have to worry about allergies. A lot of cars do both.”
Residents who wish to enter their vehicles into the event should bring candy for at least 500 children.
“Our community is amazing. They come out and support each other,” Turner said. “They come out and support our children. They come out for a fun night for young and old. We have volunteer judges. I have people of all ages ask me how they can help out during the event. It’s incredible, the outpouring that comes out just to see the smiles on the kids’ faces.”
There were 110 cars in the event last year and 800 people. The vehicles will be setup on the open field at Wood Park.

Turner and the rest of the volunteer staff ask that no vehicles leave the field at Wood Park until all the children are safely in their cars.
Any donations for Cinnaminson Trunk or Treat are welcome and appreciated.
