David Gall

David Gall is our second-ever senior spotlight on Cinn City Sports. He is just one of dozens of senior athletes who will be profiled in the coming weeks of the spring season.

Here is what we learned about David from our conversation this week.

College: Cabrini

Major: Business Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Organizations

Song: Anything country music

Favorite Movie: The Greatest Game Ever Played. “It has a very inspiring message and proves that anyone that works hard can make it and achieve any personal goals.”

When asked if David would continue his golf career at Cabrini, he said, “I plan to continue my golf career on their competitive Division III team and I am looking forward to being a Cavalier.”

Gall has helped the Pirates golf team enjoy a load of success over the last couple of seasons, but it doesn’t mean that the team hasn’t had its fair share of tough matches.

“In my varsity career on the golf team, Burlington Township has always been our toughest opponent. They always have a solid team with a lot of talent. It feels awesome to beat them at home and also at the Burlington County Open so far this year. We will see them a few more times this season and we definitely plan on keeping the same result.”

Even though David spends as much time as possible on the course in order to improve his game, he does relax every now and then.

“I really enjoy spending time with family and friends. It is a rare event when I am found not on the course, so it’s easy to say most of my free time is spent improving my golf game.”

In regards to his favorite class at Cinnaminson High School, David said, “My favorite class at CHS this year is probably Marketing Management. It is one of those special classes that helps you with things necessary in your future and I have learned a lot that will help me in my studies at Cabrini next year.”

The golf program switched head coaches prior to the 2015 season as Rick Masi retired from coaching. Bret Jenkins took over the program, which has not missed a beat. Gall had the following to say about both coaches.

“Coach Masi and Coach Jenkins are great coaches and we could not be luckier as a team. I have known Coach Masi ever since I started golf many years ago as a young boy. He has always been a role model to me and it’s awesome to have a coach that is a great friend and is always there for me. Everyone was pretty upset that Coach Masi was retiring, but gaining a coach like Mr. Jenkins is truly a blessing to the program. I have not only learned golf from these coaches, I have learned how to be a grateful and appreciative young man and I could not be luckier to have coaches like Coach Masi and Coach Jenkins.”
