We have come to the end of another week of games at Cinnaminson High School and with it, some varsity programs have seen their seasons end as well. Those programs will have their final athletes of the week picked in today’s post. Congratulations to all of the programs for a fun and exciting spring season.

Without further ado, here are the Pirates Athletes of the Week for the week ending May 17.

Baseball: In their 3-1 week, the Pirates took down Kingsway Regional by a score of 10-4. Leading the offense that day was Mike McAndrews, who went 3-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs. He earns the award this week.

Softball: The Pirates enjoyed a 3-1 week, which included a first-round playoff win against Spotswood. Senior pitcher Shannon Profy recorded her 100th strikeout of the season this week and struck out 12 batters in a 9-0 win against Pennsauken. She takes home the honors for softball this week.

Boy’s Lacrosse: In a week that saw them go 0-3, the boy’s lacrosse honors go to senior Jordan Lillagore, who scored a goal in the team’s 9-3 loss to Rancocas Valley. It was his first game back on the field following a lengthy injury.

Girl’s Lacrosse: It goes without saying that this was one of the best girl’s lacrosse seasons at Cinnaminson in a long time. With a playoff appearance against Haddonfield and 12 regular season wins, the Pirates had a fun season. The honor this week goes to Grace Shallow, who recorded her 100th career goal against Maple Shade in a 16-8 victory to end the year.

Golf: In a light week for the golf team, which went 2-0, the honor goes to T.J. Emanuel. Emanuel finished tied for the lead among the Pirates golfers by shooting a 35 in the team’s win against Northern Burlington.

Boy’s Tennis: In a week that saw the tennis team beat Florence twice, once in the playoffs, and advance to their group semi-finals, the honor is a tie between Tyler Collins and Eddie Runquist. The two singles players won their matches against Metuchen in a 3-2 loss in the playoffs.

Boy’s Volleyball: The boy’s volleyball team still has one regular season game left, tomorrow, but went 3-3 last week. The honor this week goes to Ed Choe for his four digs against Woodrow Wilson in a 2-0 win for the Pirates.

Girl’s Track and Field: Girl’s track and field beat Holy Cross this week to tie Delran for the Patriot Division crown with a 4-0-1 record. The honor this week goes to Fiona Flynn, who set a personal record in the long jump at 15’11” at the Burlington County Open on Saturday.

Boy’s Track and Field: Boy’s track and field also beat Holy Cross this week, which clinched them the Patriot Division title outright. The honor goes to Ryan Addlesberger, who repeated as Burlington County champion in the shot put with a throw of 57’5.5″, which was good for the second-best throw in the history of the meet.
