We have completed another week of games at Cinnaminson High School, which means that it is time for the Pirates Athletes of the Week feature for the week ending May 10.

Who will take home the awards this week for each of the nine spring varsity programs? Take a look below.

Baseball: Nick Thevanayagam picks up the honor this week. Thevy went 2-for-2 against Delran with a triple and a home run. He also knocked in three runs. He picked up two more hits and three stolen bases in the Pirates 7-1 win over Maple Shade on Friday.

Softball: In a 3-0 week for softball, Sarah Beth Coyle picks up the honor. Coyle went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs in the Pirates 3-2 win over Palmyra and then went 2-for-4 in a 6-0 win over Pemberton.

Golf: In another 3-0 week for a Pirate team, Greg Shiffer picks up the award. Shiffer shot two 39’s and a 41 during the week.

Boy’s Tennis: In a week that saw the Pirates take down Florence in a regular season match and then Middlesex in an NJSIAA State Tournament match, the honor goes to singles player Tim Campbell. Campbell won both of his matches this week as the Pirates will face Florence in the second round of the state tournament in the coming week.

Girl’s Lacrosse: The Pirates went 4-0 this week, moving their record to 11-4. This week’s honor goes to Shannon Forbes, who netted the game-winner with 1:50 left in the second half against Northern Burlington. It was one of four goals for Forbes.

Boy’s Lacrosse: The Pirates ended a 10-game losing streak this week when the program recorded a win on senior night for the first time. The honor goes to Patrick Morton, who scored the Pirates third goal of the game with less than one minute left in the fourth to seal the victory over Williamstown, 3-1.

Boy’s Volleyball: In a week that saw the squad record the 200th win in program history, the award goes to Ryan Coslove, who picked up 2 aces, 10 assists and 1 dig in Cinnaminson’s win against Moorestown.

Girl’s Track and Field: The Pirates won the Patriot Division title over Delran at the BCSL meet at Northern Burlington by a half a point. The award this week goes to Emily Vranich, who won the long jump.

Boy’s Track and Field: Like the girls, the boys won the Patriot Division on Saturday at the BCSL meet. The award this week is handed to Mike Ungvarsky, who set a personal record in the 3200-meter run with 9:48.70.

Congrats to all nine programs for a stellar week. The excitement continues on Monday with all nine programs in action.
