The first Alumni Profile of this week features former baseball player and current Widener University student Norm Berry. Berry was on the 2013 baseball state championship team at Cinnaminson.

Here is our conversation:

Cinn City Sports: What helped you choose Widener University?

Berry: I chose widener because it is known for having a good business program, and also because it felt like the right fit for me.

Major: Finance

CCS: Are you playing any sports, either varsity or club, at Widener?

Berry:  No, I am not playing any sports here. I want to focus on school and have time to enjoy the social life.

CCS: What has been your favorite college class so far?

Berry: I would say my favorite class so far would have to be my environmental science class, my professor is a great guy.

CCS: What is your most memorable moment from your athletic career at CHS? Second most memorable moment?

Berry: Without a doubt being a part of the state championship team my junior year. My second favorite memory was playing alongside with all my best friends and my awesome coaches. Especially Cole Pewor, he was a character.

CCS: Do you have a favorite movie?

Berry: This is a tough one but, I would have to say Friday Night Lights.

Favorite TV Show: Entourage

CCS: Do you have a favorite song and/or artist?

Berry: My favorite song would have to be Juicy by Biggie Smalls.

CCS: What was your favorite position to play in baseball?

Berry: My favorite position was center field, even though I played more of the corner outfield positions in high school, center field is more fun because you can see everything unfold and you have more freedom and control.

CCS: Are you involved in any clubs at Widener University?

Berry: I am not in any clubs yet, however I play intramural sports here, which get very fun and competitive.

CCS: What was your favorite class at CHS?

Berry: My favorite class would have to be history with Mr. McGhee or American Law with mrs. Quinn.
