Congratulations to all of the seniors who graduated from Cinnaminson High School last night! Good luck in your future endeavors.

Now, without further adieu, let’s take a look at the Top 5 Girl’s Track and Field Meets of 2016 as we continue our Top 5 series.

#5 Pirates Take Down Pemberton to Open Season

Cinnaminson began its quest to a Patriot title during the 2016 season with a win over Pemberton Township on April 12. The win got the Pirates off on the right foot as Cinnaminson’s first goal of 2016 was to win the Patriot title outright after finishing tied for first with Delran in 2015.

#4 Pirates Compete at the BC Open

At the Burlington County Open, the Pirates competed against every program in Burlco. This is one of the tougher meets of the season in the area and the Pirates highest finisher was Alex Keck in the 100 meter hurdles. Keck finished in 7th place at the BC Open.

#3 Pirates Win Patriot at BCSL Meet

On May 14 the Pirates competed at the BCSL Meet, taking home the Patriot title. It was a very successful day for the girls, who beat out Delran for the title at the meet. Cinnaminson finished in first place in nine of the events and in second in five of the events.

#2 Pirates Compete at Group 2 Sectional Meet

Cinnaminson competed at the South, Group 2 Sectional Meet on May 27 and 28. The Pirates qualified for the Group 2 State Meet in five events and had one sectional champion. Taylor Clark won the pole vault event at the sectional meet. Prisca Blamon finished in second place in the shot put for the Pirates.

#1 Pirates Defeat Delran for Patriot Title

Cinnaminson needed two days over the span of three weeks to complete their suspended meet with rival Delran. The meet was suspended on April 26 due to lightning. The Pirates needed just nine points when the meet resumed on May 17 to win the meet and take home the Patriot title with a perfect record.
