Top 5 Girl’s Cross Country Meets of 2015

We continue our Top 5 series today with a look at the top 5 girl’s cross country meets of the fall 2015 sports season at Cinnaminson High School.

#5: Cinnaminson at New Egypt Batch Meet – 9/22

The second batch meet of the season saw the Pirates take on Maple Shade and Westampton Tech at New Egypt. The Pirates defeated both teams handily, moving to 6-1 on the season en route to a 14-1 mark. The top three finishers at the meet were Haley Adams, Madison Edwards and Devon Kaiser. The Pirates had 10 runners finish in the top 15 at the meet.

#4: Cinnaminson at Northern Burlington Batch Meet – 9/29

On September 29, the Pirates traveled to Northern Burlington for a batch meet against Delran, Rancocas Valley, Northern Burlington and Palmyra. The Pirates recorded a clean, 4-0, sweep to move their record to 10-1 on the season. The closest wins were over powers R.V. and Northern Burlington, both by identical, 26-29 scores. The Pirates beat Delran 22-30 and Palmyra 15-50 to sweep.

#3: Cinnaminson at SJ Open – 10/10

Cinnaminson took part in the SJ Open on October 10, finishing in second at the meet. Adams was the highest finisher for the Pirates, coming in sixth with a time of 20:16. The runner-up finish prepared the Pirates for their entry in the BC Open on October 16 at Mill Creek Park, where they finished in fifth as a team.

#2: Cinnaminson at BCSL Open – 10/21

At the BCSL Open, the Pirates secured the Patriot Division title with a total of 27 points. Adams finished in first place overall in the Patriot race. The Pirates had three runners named to the Patriot Division first team; Adams, Olivia Rocks and Edwards. The Pirates top 7 runners all finished within the top 20 at the meet.

#1: Cinnaminson at Group 2 State Meet – 11/14

At the Group 2 State Meet, the Pirates finished in 11th as a team at Holmdel. The entire team qualified for states by finishing third at the Sectionals on November 7. Adams finished 9th at sectionals to advance to states as an individual.
