#5 Pirates Defeat Hopewell Valley 2-0 on April 9

Who knew that a 2-0 win over non-conference opponent Hopewell Valley on April 9 would turn the Pirates season into something special? Cinnaminson came into the match with a record of 1-4 and left with their second win of the year. The win over Hopewell Valley was the first of nine in a row for the Pirates.

#4 Pirates Defeat Moorestown 2-0 on April 21

The ninth and final win of that streak came on April 21 against Moorestown. The win was the 10th of the season for the Pirates and came in the first round of the Backyard Brawl between Cinnaminson, Moorestown and Pennsauken. This win was especially big because it came against a program that the Pirates struggled with in 2015.

#3 Pirates Fall to Donovan Catholic 2-0 on May 24

In the first round of the South Tournament the Pirates traveled to Donovan Catholic. Cinnaminson returned home with a 2-0 loss in their final match of the season, but it marked a return to the playoffs after missing out on the tournament in 2015. Despite the loss, the young program took a big step forward with the appearance.

#2 Pirates Fall to Collingswood 2-1 on April 1

Cinnaminson hosted Olympic-National rival Collingswood on opening day of the 2016 season. Cinnaminson fell 2-1 in a hard-fought battle that was just the beginning of a successful season. The Pirates led the match 1-0 before falling in the final two sets to drop a 2-1 decision.

#1 Pirates Defeat Collingswood 2-1 on April 25

The Pirates visited Collingswood on April 25 for an Olympic-National contest and a rematch of opening day. The Pirates took down their rival 2-1 in one of the team’s best-played matches of the season. The win prevented Collingswood from finishing undefeated in the division.

He coached baseball for five years, three at his former high school (Holy Cross in Delran, NJ) and two at prominent Division III program Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
