Tomorrow we will bring you the Top 10 Games of Spring 2016 as well as a post that will have all of the spring season reviews and Top 5 countdowns in one place.

#5 Pirates Defeat Manchester in Sectional Semi

Cinnaminson took down Manchester Township 7-3 in the South, Group 2 semifinal to advance to the Sectional Final. Cinnaminson raced out to a 7-1 in support of ace Brandon Staub before Mike Hess allowed two runs in the top of the seventh. The win was the 14th and final of the 2016 season for the baseball team.

#4 Pirates Shutout Delran in Patriot Play

In their second Patriot Division game of the season the Pirates made a major statement with a 1-0 shutout of rival Delran. It was Staub’s second start against a Patriot opponent and his second win in such games. The offense scratched out one run and that was all Staub needed in the complete game effort.

#3 Pirates Defeat Sterling First Round of Playoffs

It took two days to complete this first round playoff game, but once the teams got back on the field, it was all Cinnaminson. The Pirates took down Sterling 6-2 to advance to the second round of the South, Group 2 Tournament. The Pirates led 4-2 when the lightning and downpours arrived. They tacked on two insurance runs for starter Jack Conville before Staub picked up the save with three scoreless innings.

#2 Pirates Shutout Holy Cross in Patriot Play

Another big Patriot game, another start for Staub. The Pirates shutout eventual Non-Public B State Champion Holy Cross 5-0 early in the season to move to 4-0 in the division. The win moved Staub to 4-0. He threw his third complete game on this day, allowing one hit and striking out eight.

#1 Pirates Drop Sectional Final to West Deptford

Cinnaminson traveled to West Deptford for the South, Group 2 championship, but fell by a score of 3-1 to the eventual Group 2 State Champions. The Eagles scored three times in the bottom of the first with two runs coming after a controversial umpiring decision. Cinnaminson did not score its first run until the top of the seventh. Conville threw a complete game gem in the loss. He allowed just four hits and eight total baserunners.
