Pirates Daily Recap: Girl’s Basketball Falls in OT; Wrestling Drops Tight Match


The girl’s basketball team fell to Pemberton in overtime tonight, while wrestling dropped a tight match to Northern Burlington.

Girl’s Basketball 39, Pemberton 46 OT

The girl’s basketball team fell to Pemberton 46-39 in overtime Friday night.

Cinnaminson is now 12-5 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot Division.

Fiona Flynn led all scorers with 18 points, eight from the charity stripe.

Anne O’Malley and Maddie Ogden each finished with six points. Maddie Parrish added five.

Girl’s basketball returns to the court on Tuesday, January 31 at Willingboro (4:15pm).

Wrestling 25, Northern Burlington 32

A pin at 113 pounds by Ellery Perfect over Michael Florkowski in 43 seconds sealed the win for Northern Burlington over Cinnaminson Friday night in wrestling.

The Pirates are now 10-4.

Prior to the final two bouts, the Pirates held a 25-23 lead.

Jarrod Averill, Ryan Teague, Shaun Davilla and Keith Swartley all won via major decisions.

The win for Swartley is the 109th of his career.

Wrestling returns to the mat tomorrow with a tri-meet at Pennsauken against the Indians and Haddonfield at 10am.
