The Pirates Daily Preview for Tuesday, May 24 features golf at the BCSL, boy’s volleyball in the playoffs, boy’s track and field and baseball.

Golf: At the BCSL Tournament at Olde York County Club at 9:30am.

Match Preview Capsule: The Pirates will finish their season today in search of a BCSL Tournament title after finishing second in the Group 1 State Championship on Monday afternoon to North Warren.

Baseball: Home vs Sterling at 3:45pm. Completion of suspended game.

Game Preview Capsule: The Pirates and Silver Knights will complete their suspended game from Monday. The game will resume in the bottom of the fourth inning with the bases loaded and two outs for the Pirates, who lead 4-2.

Boy’s Volleyball: At Donovan Catholic at 4pm for first round of South Jersey Tournament.

Match Preview Capsule: The Pirates open the playoffs today at Donovan Catholic in the first round of the South Tournament. The Pirates are the #10 seed and Donovan Catholic is the #7 seed. Check Cinn City Sports today at 2pm for the boy’s volleyball first round playoff preview. 

Boy’s Track and Field: At Haddonfield at 5:30pm.

Meet Preview Capsule: This will be the final meet of the season for the Pirates prior to playoff season (sectionals, groups and states). This meet is the Haddonfield Distance Night. The Pirates last competed on Saturday at the BC Open and came home with two champions, Mike Ungvarsky in the 3200 and Steven Liu in the high jump.

Cinn City Sports will have coverage of baseball vs Sterling in the completion of a first round game in the South, Group 2 Tournament. Play was suspended Monday in the bottom of the fourth due to rain/lightning.

Jim is the creator and editor of Cinn City Sports. He also created At the Dish, Life With Tony and Enzo and is the owner of JAVFreelancing. He coached baseball for five years, three at his former high school (Holy Cross in Delran, NJ) and two at prominent Division III program Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He has worked for the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, NJ; Metro Networks in Bala Cynwyd, PA; and was the play-by-play announcer for the Camden Riversharks of the Independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball for two seasons (2007-2008) on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM, the student-run radio station at Rowan University. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' He is the former Sports Editor for the Cinnaminson and Moorestown Patch websites.
