The Pirates Daily Preview for Tuesday, May 17 features boy’s tennis in the state tournament, golf at Moorestown and much more.

Boy’s Tennis: Postponed to May 18. At West Deptford for the second round of the South, Group 2 Tournament at 3pm.

Match Preview Capsule: The boy’s tennis team travels to West Deptford today for a second round playoff match in the South, Group 2 Tournament. Cinnaminson enters at 14-2 overall and have won 14 in a row after taking down Holy Cross 4-1 last week in a Freedom contest. Cinnaminson defeated Delsea 4-1 in the opening round of the playoffs. West Deptford is the #4 seed and took down Oakcrest 5-0 in the first round. West Deptford is 15-3 after a 3-2 loss to Kingsway on Monday. These teams last met in 2012 in the first round of the South, Group 2 Tournament. The Pirates won 3-2. Check Cinn City Sports at 2pm for our second round playoff preview.

Golf: Canceled. At Moorestown at 3:30pm.

Match Preview Capsule: After winning the Central/South Group 1 Sectional title on Monday, the Pirates hit the links today looking to move to 14-0 on the season. The Pirates have yet to face Moorestown this year, but defeated them in 2015 by 10 strokes, 157-167. Moorestown comes into today with a record of 10-1. The Quakers suffered their first loss of the year on Thursday to Montgomery by just one stroke.

Baseball: Canceled. At Pennsauken at 3:45pm.

Game Preview Capsule: The Pirates baseball team will look to snap a three-game losing streak today when it visits Pennsauken. The Pirates are 11-10 overall after suffering a first round loss to Lenape in the Diamond Classic Saturday morning. Pennsauken comes in at 4-10 after a 5-1 loss to Rancocas Valley on Thursday. Girl’s Track and Field: At Delran at 3:45pm.

Meet Preview Capsule: The Pirates girl’s track and field team travels to Delran at 3:45pm today to complete its suspended meet with the Bears. This meet will determine the winner of the Patriot Division. The Pirates are 4-0 and the events that need to be completed include the 3200, 4×4, Shot Put, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Pole Vault.
