The Pirates Athletes of the Week for February 12 are here. See who takes home the honors this week at Cinnaminson High School.

Bowling: The boy’s bowling team competed at the South, Group 1 sectional on Saturday, coming home with their second consecutive title. Our bowling athlete of the week goes to Sean Harris, who qualified as an individual for states.

Boy’s Basketball: The boy’s basketball team played just once this week, falling to Moorestown. The Pirates are now 8-14 on the year and earned the #5 seed in the South, Group 2 playoffs. The boy’s basketball athlete of the week goes to Craig Turner. Turner led the Pirates with 15 points in the loss to the Quakers.

Girl’s Basketball: The girl’s basketball team played twice this week, picking up a win against Moorestown and suffering a loss to Timber Creek. The Pirates are now 15-7 on the year and earned the #7 seed in the South, Group 2 playoffs. The girl’s basketball athlete of the week goes to Fiona Flynn. Flynn scored 12 points in the win over the Quakers to lead the Pirates.

Swimming: The swim team had just one meet this week, in the quarterfinals of the Central, B playoffs. Cinnaminson took down Steinert in the meet to advance to the semifinals against Moorestown Monday. The swimming athlete of the week goes to Avery Mancine. Mancine won two individual events to pace the Pirates in the pool.

Winter Track: The winter track team competed at the Cherokee Throwdown and the Group 2 sectionals this week. Kamron Kobolak won the Throwdown, while the boy’s team won the first-ever indoor sectional title in school history Friday night. The winter track athlete of the week goes to a trio of athletes who took home individual sectional titles: Kobolak in the shot put, Prisca Blamon in the shot put with a school record and Christian Neuman in the pole vault.

Wrestling: The wrestling team went 1-1 this week in the playoffs with a first-round win over Delran and a semifinal loss to Collingswood. The Pirates finish the dual-meet season at 15-7 and are now preparing for districts. The wrestling athlete of the week goes to Jahmil Williams. Williams had an 11-2 major decision against Delran and a 5-3 decision against Collingswood that wound up tying the match at 15-15 early.
