The Pirates Athletes of the Week for December 11 are here. See who takes home the honors this week in varsity sports at Cinnaminson High School.

Bowling: The boy’s bowling team took down New Egypt 4-0 this week to move to 2-0, while girl’s bowling fell to the Warriors 4-0 to fall to 0-2 on the young season. The boy’s bowling athlete of the week is Eddie Runquist. Runquist led the Pirates with a high series of 588 and a high game of 216. The girl’s bowling athlete of the week is Courtney D’Amato. D’Amato paced the girls with a high series of 389 and a high game of 150.

Swimming: The swim team had just one meet this week, taking down Holy Cross 131-39. The Pirates are now 2-0 on the season. Cinnaminson dominated the meet from start to finish, pulling away early. The athlete of the week for swimming is Ryan Kay. Kay won two individual events, the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke. He also led off the Pirates win in the 400 freestyle relay to cap the day.

Jim is the creator and editor of Cinn City Sports. He also created At the Dish, Life With Tony and Enzo and is the owner of JAVFreelancing. He coached baseball for five years, three at his former high school (Holy Cross in Delran, NJ) and two at prominent Division III program Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He has worked for the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, NJ; Metro Networks in Bala Cynwyd, PA; and was the play-by-play announcer for the Camden Riversharks of the Independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball for two seasons (2007-2008) on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM, the student-run radio station at Rowan University. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' He is the former Sports Editor for the Cinnaminson and Moorestown Patch websites.
