Gameday Focus: Girl’s Basketball versus Delran

The girl’s basketball team hosts division rival Delran tonight at 5:30pm. Here is our preview of the contest with our Gameday Focus.

When: Tuesday, January 10 at 5:30pm

Where: Cinnaminson High School

Pirates 8-1, 2-0 Patriot

Cinnaminson enters tonight’s key divisional matchup with a record of 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the Patriot.

The Pirates recently took down Willingboro, another division opponent, on Friday night 56-39.

The Pirates other division win this season came against Pemberton on the road, 44-33.

After dropping their second game of the season to Salem, the Pirates have reeled off seven in a row.

During the win streak the Pirates have scored 50 or more points six times.

Their highest point total this year came in a 66-33 win over Burlington City.

Bears 5-2, 2-0 Patriot

Delran enters tonight with a 5-2 record overall and a 2-0 mark in the Patriot.

The Bears last game played was on January 5 and it resulted in a 35-31 loss to Trenton Catholic.

Delran’s other loss this season came to Haddonfield by a score of 37-32.

The Bears have divisional wins so far over Burlington Township and Willingboro.

The highest point total for the Bears this season came in their 54-20 win over the Falcons.

Head to Head

These two teams are back in the same division for the 2016-2017 season in the Patriot.

Delran won the lone meeting between the two teams last season 40-27.

The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak for the Pirates.

Cinnaminson’s last win against Delran came in the 2014-2015 season by a score of 43-39.
