Gameday Focus: Boy’s Basketball vs Lower Cape May First Round SJG2

The second game of our playoff doubleheader features boy’s basketball versus Lower Cape May at 7pm in the first round of the South, Group 2 playoffs.

When: Monday, February 27 at 7pm

Where: Cinnaminson High School

#5 Pirates 9-17

The Pirates enter the South, Group 2 tournament with an overall record of 9-17.

Cinnaminson has lost two in a row to Pemberton and Rancocas Valley.

Their last win came on February 16 against Palmyra 65-52. The Pirates have won just once in 31 days.

Junior Craig Turner is one three-pointer away from tying the single season school record at 68.

The Pirates have six players with 100 or more points on the season. Two of them, Conor Bresnahan (327) and Craig Turner (361), have 300 or more.

Gunner Peterson is right behind that 100+ group with 95 points.

#12 Tigers 15-8

The #12 Tigers are 15-8 on the season and are coming off a loss their last time on the court.

Lower Cape May suffered a 69-58 loss to St. Joseph (Hammonton) to end the regular season.

The last win for the Tigers came on February 14 against Cedar Creek.

The Tigers have just one player with triple digits in points and that is Patrick Holden with 248. The next closest is Zach Cerasi with 83.
